Engaging care home staff in Norfolk

111 care home engagement evening Norfolk Oct 2014

Last week the Trust held two engagement evenings for care home managers and staff to explain the differences between our 111, out of hours and 999 services.

Following work with commissioners about the misunderstandings that external healthcare colleagues can have over the services we provide, more than 300 people were invited to attend from the Norfolk area.

Attendees were given a presentation on the 111 and 999 pathways, took part in a Q&A and talked about best clinical practice and frequent callers. They were also given a tour of the Norwich 999 and 111 control rooms.

Further engagement events are planned later this year.
