EOC lockdown update

Following a review, the EOC lockdown is expected to be removed on 12th February.

Before this date, visitors who are deemed to be essential, will be permitted into our control rooms on a case by case basis, which will need to be authorised by a senior EOC manager or deputy director.

The lockdown was put in place as a result of an increase in sickness, specifically potential flu-like and respiratory illness.

Measures should be taken to minimise infection risk including maintaining high levels of hand hygiene and no known exposure to anyone symptomatic of cold/flu in the last 72 hours. Visitors should preferably have had the flu vaccination.
