Essex & Herts 10th Anniversary Aeromedical Conference

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) is holding its 10th annual Aeromedical Conference on Wednesday 26th June at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford.

The event will once again bring together delegates from all over the UK and Europe to give a unique insight into the Aeromedical world.

This FREE event is open to medics, students, emergency and military personnel interested in the pre-hospital environment.

It will bring together specialists and emergency services involved in the care of patients in the pre-hospital and critical care industry to learn from each other.

The theme of ‘Reflect, Learn, Innovate’ will give an opportunity to reflect on previous years’ topics, provide a platform to discuss lessons learned and to think about innovations for the future.

There will be presentations on Major Incidents, Trauma Care and Innovation.

This year the Keynote Speaker is Assistant Commissioner Graham Ellis, Head of Operational Resilience and Special Operations Group, London Fire Brigade (LFB).

Graham is responsible for the preparations, training, response and recovery for a range of natural and terrorist threats, and oversees fire service operations across the Greater London area.

He undertook the Gold Commander role for LFB during several no-notice terror attacks on London in 2017

Graham will provide a unique and sobering insight into recent Major Incidents from London Bridge to Grenfell Tower and what we can learn from these events.

Ben Myer, Conference Lead and Clinical Manager at EHAAT said: “In this our 10th year we are using the opportunity to reflect on previous themes including Major Incidents and Trauma. We will be dedicating the afternoon session to the increasing clinical and societal impact of knife-related crime and injury.

“There will be presentations from a leading forensic pathologist and a trauma/vascular surgeon with a focus on knife-related crime reduction and community engagement.”

If you would like to attend you can register for FREE at Those attending the whole day will have the chance of winning an exciting prize draw, details of which will be announced in the coming weeks.
