Essex station charity morning huge success

More than £700 was raised in a charity coffee and cake morning at Harlow ambulance station on Tuesday (13th September).

Staff baked hundreds of cakes and sold them in the staff room, in the accident and emergency department to nurses and doctors, fire and police stations, and also to the general public.

Paramedic Grace Reed organised the event along with colleagues Jo Townsend and Sharon Kemp, who all were amazed by the success of this year’s event. Grace said: “We smashed last year’s total of £250 which is fantastic news, it was a hugely successful morning and I’d like to thank everyone for their contributions.”

The money will be donated to the Macmillan Cancer Support charity, one of the largest British charities that provide specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer. For more information please visit https://www.macmillan.org.uk/
