Essex tech set for charity head shave

One of our Basildon technician’s is braving the shave next Monday (31st October) for a charity close to her heart.

Eliya Ferguson has already raised more than £400 on her JustGiving page for Macmillan Cancer Support, and is hoping to smash her initial target of £500.

This might be the first time she has ever taken part in a head shave, but Eliya is no stranger to charity work; with mud races, parachute jumps, and charity concerts already on her charitable CV, she admits she is remaining calm ahead of Monday.

She said: “If I’m honest I’m feeling very relaxed about it, it’ll grow back quickly enough; I’ve wanted to take part in a charity head shave for years.”

Eliya’s recent motivation comes from supporting close friends who are going through chemotherapy for cancer. The event is due to take place at Basildon ambulance station, where she is urging people to come and watch if they are able to.

If you are interested in donating to Eliya’s page you can do so by visiting her justGiving page.

Good luck Eliya!
