Do you work in Essex and want to be an NHS leader of the future?
We’ve joined forces with trusts from across the region to launch a localised NHS Leadership Academy programme, aimed at helping our aspiring leaders to develop their full potential.
Initially open to those who live or work in Essex, the Mary Seacole Programme is aimed at those in a team leader or managerial role who want to develop their leadership skills now and for the future. It will empower you to turn your success into team success - and to champion compassionate patient care.
The course comes as a collaboration between Health Education England, the NHS Leadership Academy, ourselves, and nine other partnering NHS organisations. The programme is a trailblazer and we hope to use learning from this Essex cohort to develop a programme for the rest of the Trust – so if you work in another county don’t despair, a programme will be coming to you in the near future.

If you’re interested in taking part, you need to speak to your line manager to get their support, and then submit an application to our learning and development team. All the information you need, including course details and the application form, is available on our organisational development pages on East24.
If you have any specific questions, please feel free to get in touch with the team at leadership@eastamb.nhs.uk.
