FAQs about our new make ready service

A comprehensive list of make ready FAQs is now available for anyone who wants to find out more about the service and the benefits it will bring to frontline crews.

The FAQs have been added to EAST24 here. They include information on how make ready works, how long the process takes, the investment which has taken place and the reason we are introducing the service.

Make ready will ensure there is always a fully stocked, cleaned and checked vehicle ready for our crews to use so that we can deliver life-saving care to patients faster.

It will see specialist teams working in shifts to clean and restock vehicles to a consistently high standard, in turn freeing up frontline clinicians to do what they do best – care for patients.

The FAQs have been published after five of our sites – Southend, Stevenage, Chelmsford, Waveney and Peterborough – were upgraded to house a make ready service and new vehicle workshops. Our aim is for these sites to become operational from 1 April.
