Farewell Darbo

Graham Darby 2019

This week we say goodbye to ‘Darbo’, after 39 years of service with the Trust.

Graham Darby joined Bedfordshire Ambulance Service on the 28th July 1980 and has been based at Leicester Road in Luton for much of his career.

Graham retires from his role as a Leading Operations Manager (LOM) at Kempston, where he has been adored by the staff and fellow managers alike!

Simon King, Head of Operations, said:

"Darbo has been around for so long; he was a Leading Ambulanceman (LA) at Luton when I joined in 1989! For me, I have learned from him more than anything to have patient care and a strong sense of duty at the core of everything we do. He’s always smiling, never moaning and has a great sense of humour that can only be forged from almost 40 years working on A&E. We will really miss you Darbo but hope you have a fabulous retirement."
