Fond farewell to silver star Lorraine

The EOC clinical team said a fond farewell to Lorraine Forrest in Norwich EOC, who retired last week.

Not only was Lorraine the longest serving clinical support desk (CSD) clinician within the department, but was also the first clinician to achieve the Silver PSiam Competency award, which was presented to her earlier this month.

Lorraine was presented with gifts from the team and a Trust shield by Gary Morgan, Head of EOC. Gary said: “Lorraine has been a valuable asset to the CSD team and I would like to thank her for her many years of service to the Trust and for the care that she has provided to our patients.”

Lorraine joined the service 10 years ago from NHS Direct, and was part of the team that implemented the CSD team working with PSiam across the three EOCs. Lorraine became a PSiam trainer and auditor for many years before returning to the CSD desk full time. Lorraine will be sorely missed when she retires, but from all of CSD, the clinical co-ordinators and Norwich EOC staff, we wish her many years of happy retirement and we look forward to her coming back on the bank (occasionally!).
