Four EEAST student paramedics gear up for skydive to raise money for Air Ambulance

Skydiving paramedics

Tom Knights, Katie Amies, Laura Douglas and Rhys Chisam, all student paramedics based at Cambridge Ambulance station, met the East Anglian Air Ambulance team at Cambridge Airport earlier this week (Tuesday 24th April).  Our fantastic colleagues at EAAA showed the student paramedics Anglia Two, one of the most advanced HEMS aircraft in the country.

The four fearless student paramedics will be raising money for EAAA when they take part in a daring tandem skydive on the 19th May this year.  The team say “We have all at some point in our short careers worked with the amazing guys and gals from EAAA.”

Katie Amies, one of the team said “I’ve always wanted to do a skydive! I’m really excited, but I’m sure that will change on the day”. Ely based Rhys said “I’m absolutely bricking it..I’m doing it for my children – I want them to be proud of their daddy”.

The team’s joint just giving page has raised over £1000 already but they are hoping to raise even more for the fantastic charity which works together with as at EEAST to help save lives.  Please click on the link below to find the team’s just giving page.
