Fuel savings: a thank you to staff

Ambulance side shot

One of the Trust’s priorities for 2015/16 is to reinvest funds into the frontline, and some of that comes from savings we can make.

As previously reported in Need to Know, the use of premium fuel continues to cost the Trust a significant sum, whilst at the same time many of the larger stations can supply bulk fuel at a considerable saving.

The chart below highlights the success so far achieved in changing over to bulk fuel and we would like to thank all staff who have supported this so far.

Chief Executive Anthony Marsh said: “I am really pleased that so many staff have made this small change which has helped us to save money and will go towards improving our frontline services.”

Please continue to utilise bulk fuel wherever possible; each occasion makes a small difference but the cumulative effect runs into thousands of pounds, which can be used for frontline resourcing, supporting staff and our patients.
