Funding C1 licenses

At the Staff Partnership Forum on 12^th May, UNISON raised concerns about existing staff being asked to fund the cost of C1 licenses due to the Trust changing the type of patient transport service (PTS) vehicles being used.

It was agreed with UNISON that if the Trust introduces C1 as a mandatory requirement for existing staff, then the Trust will meet the costs involved.

There are a number of issues to be worked through, such as the number of attempts and timelines, although we want to reassure staff that they will not be required to fund the costs if they have been told that they now need a C1. We will update staff as soon as possible with the full details.
