Funeral arrangements for Luke Wright

Transparent EEAST crest

Earlier this month we shared the news that our much-loved colleague and friend Luke Wright sadly passed away.

For those who would like to pay their respects, Luke’s funeral will be taking place on Tuesday 10 December at 12:15pm at Breckland Crematorium, Norwich Road, NR9 4NR.

If you plan to attend, the family have requested EEAST uniform to be worn. They have also asked that non uniformed staff should wear something red.

All uniformed staff are also invited to join Luke’s Guard of Honour which will start to form at 11:50am.

Luke’s loved ones have asked for family flowers only.

The Trust is sending a wreath on behalf of ‘our green family’ and donations are welcome to the East Anglian Air Ambulance & the Norwich SOS Bus, these can be accepted on the day.

EEAST colleagues are welcomed by Luke’s family to a wake which follows the service funeral from 3pm at The Cherry Tree, Dereham Road, NR5 8TD, alongside family and friends.

To help the family plan the day, please could you email aoc@eastamb.nhs.uk to indicate if you are planning on attending the funeral and wake.

If you have been affected by Luke’s death and need support, please contact the Red Poppy helpline which will be open from now, 11 am – 7pm each day through to end Wednesday 4 December on 07902 154 817. Tanya and Russ, both highly trained and experienced trauma therapists, will be at the end of the line to talk with you confidentially.

The offer of help can also be accessed through our staff wellbeing team on 03456 089945 or wellbeing.info@nhs.net. The Trust’s employee assistance programme is also available, and at any time. It’s free, confidential, runs 24/7 and can be accessed on 0800 085 1376.
