Geoff Follett

Side of RRV with lozenge

It is with great sadness that we share the news of Geoff Follett, chaplain to Potters Bar ambulance station, who died on Wednesday 18th November, after a period of illness.

Geoff was a police chaplain at police headquarters in Welwyn Garden City for over 25 years and an ambulance and fire chaplain at Potters Bar for about 20 years. He was one of the chaplains who assisted at both the Potters Bar rail crash, which killed 7 people and injured 76, on 10 May 2002 and at Buncefield after the two explosions on 11 December 2005.

Our thoughts are very much with his family and friends at this sad time.

Understandably colleagues who knew Geoff well may wish to attend his funeral which is on Monday 30 November at 1pm at St. Mary the Virgin and All Saints Church, (The Walk, Potters Bar, Herts. EN6 1QL). There is a small car-park inside the church grounds, otherwise there is pay and display parking nearby.

If you’ve been affected by Geoff’s death and need support, please remember that the Trust’s employee assistance programme is available at any time.
