GP Connect planned go-live – 10th September

GP Connect: giving information from GP’s patient records to EEAST crews

GP Connect,  an NHS Digital Portal that gives information from GP patient records to EEAST crews, is planned to go live at EEAST on 10th September.

The web-based system, which is securely integrated with EEAST’s Electronic Patient Care Record (EPCR) systems, can be accessed directly by ambulance crews on scene.

The GP Connect patient record will give clinicians on scene access to the following information.

Access Record: HTML view– This read-only view includes:

  • Patient Summary
  • Encounters
  • Clinical Items
  • Problems & Issues
  • Allergies
  • Medications
  • Referrals
  • Observations
  • Immunisations
  • Administrative Items

When is GP Connect coming?
GP Connect will be going live on the 10th September and will be available from 6am.

What happens next?
There will be a briefing note to follow with instructions of what is required for the upgrade, such as ensuring your vehicle has sufficient Paper Care Records for the G0-Live and that all devices are switched on and charged to allow the update to download in the background.

As well as GP Connect there is some additional functionality that will be available, there will be training guidance documents for you to familiarise yourself with the functionality ahead of the Go-Live date.
