Great Get Together event in aid of Jo Cox MP

The 16th June will mark the anniversary of the shocking murder of MP Jo Cox.

To mark the date, the Jo Cox Foundation has planned the Great Get Together Event, which will be held across the country on 17th and 18th June.

Jo inspired her constituents, and indeed others throughout the country, with her ethos that we have more in common than divides us. These events are a celebration of that, and to continue spreading this message on Jo’s behalf.

Your individual event can be big or small, indoors or outdoors, and in any location you choose, it really is entirely up to you, you could join together with your neighbours and hold a street party, organise a football match, or even just host afternoon tea amongst your friends. Whatever you choose to do, you’ll be part of a huge national occasion.

You’ll be joining some big names, including the Archbishop of Canterbury and some top Premier League footballers. Other organisations supporting the event include Amnesty Internal, the NSPCC, Help for Heroes, Glastonbury Festival and Girl guiding, amongst many others.

You can find out more and register your event via The Great Get Together website.

If you are hosting an event don’t forget to contact the communications team and let them know!
