Great success at Essex blood pressure event

Staff, volunteers, and TUG members have been thanked for their efforts at an incredibly successful blood pressure event in Chelmsford this week.

Our PPI team led the event, which was held at High Chelmer Shopping Centre, and saw more than 100 people have their blood pressures taken.

A small number were referred to their GPs and the teams were even called into to help four people who had fallen ill in the shopping centre.

Victoria Boyce from our PPI team said: “It was a really successful event in which we were able to talk to lots of very engaging people. I’d like to thank everyone who helped make today’s event such a great success.

“It was really encouraging to see so many members of the public step forward to have their blood pressures measured.”

She added: “A number of people also showed interest in working and volunteering for the ambulance service which is always a pleasure to hear.”
