HART incidents now captured on Portal

The Development Team has been working with the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) to make information about the incidents they attend available on Portal.

Mike Edwards from the Development Team said, ‘HART approached us at the beginning of March with a view to reworking their Operational Shift Report (OSR). Unfortunately, this request came in just as the Covid-19 outbreak began so the development work on the project was delayed but I am really pleased that, as of this month, the new HART incident capture form on Portal has finally been completed and released.

Any Trust incidents which have an ‘RH’ callsign assigned to them will have a new ‘HART Entry’ tab available as part of the incident details on Portal;

This new form allows HART related data to be captured and saved directly into the Trust’s data warehouse. Historically, this data was recorded and collated in Excel spreadsheets, so the new functionality means:

  • All the data is now held in one place
  • Duplication of data is removed
  • Quick and easy to use process for Team Leaders
  • Useable, reliable data which can then be used to produce reporting

Once the HART team begin to use the new form on Portal to regularly record HART related data, our informatics team will be able to create new PowerBI reports directly from the data warehouse to provide up-to-date and accurate reporting e.g.

The new functionality has now been made available to all ICD Dispatchers, HART Team Leaders and 2ICs.
