As a core emergency service, we are at the heart of major incidents.
Multi-agency training is still available to help EEAST commanders and officers work better with other emergency services in these scenarios.
As part of the Government’s first-ever joint emergency services interoperability programme (JESIP) EEAST is heading up the training for all three emergency services.
JESIP is all about the tri-emergency services learning how each one responds on the scene of a major incident, what their principal aims are and how our decisions impact each other. The course teaches incident commanders a new joint decision making model which will help to save lives and reduce harm.
