Health Hero Awards: Do you know a hero? Nominate your colleague

Blurred ambulance

Do you know a colleague who puts patient care first and is a true hero (and not just for one day…)?

Nominate them now for the annual health heroes’ award – an award that celebrates health workers across the UK.

The National Skills Academy for Health, together with Health Education England, are looking for individuals who  go above and beyond the call of duty, are creative and innovative in their roles and deserve a big thank you.

From healthcare assistants and assistant practitioners to maintenance and administrative staff, you can nominate a colleague for one of two awards:

  • clinical support worker of the year
  • operation services worker of the year.

Entrants can be put forward by their line manager, supervisor, team leader or colleague. There will be a short application form to complete and you just need to make sure the nominee is happy to be put forward.

The deadline for entries is midnight on Friday, 15th September, with the winner being announced at an award ceremony in London’s Oxo Tower Wharf on 21st November, 2017.

If you have any queries, please contact OHHAwards@skillsforhealth.org.uk. You can also find out more on the health hero awards website.
