Help us boost our recruitment into Herts PTS

Ambulance line up blue sky

Do you know someone who has experience of caring for people and proven customer care and communication skills with the public?

We need candidates to join our dedicated PTS Team in Hertfordshire, and are implementing an Introduce a Friend scheme for fourEEAST staff to help boost our recruitment into the area.

Share this link with a suitable friend or family member and they will answer a question in the application form to confirm who ‘refereed’ them to the advert.

If they are successful and go on to complete at least six months as EEAST, the local recruitment team will use the date each candidate applied via this link to determine the first four to do so – if you recommended one of those four, you’ll receive £250.

Closing date for applications is Thursday 11th April at 23:59. The PTS Watford team will then be holding an assessment day on the 13th April at Welwyn Garden City, for candidates to secure a place on the course for 10th June.

Just to clarify, the person you recommend must:

  • pass the interview and driving assessment
  • complete satisfactory pre-employment checks references, medical clearance, DBS clearance ID checks (including right to work)
  • successfully complete all elements of the PTS training course (15-day programme)
  • be in employment with EEAST for six months minimum.

We need applicants who are passionate about working in the health care sector and relevant experience will be highly desirable.

There are two roles within this service:

  • Ambulance Care Assistant (ACA)

Our ACAs transport non-urgent, acute and routine patients to and from health/social care premises and private residences – a responsible role which requires a professional and caring attitude.

  • Patient Transport Driver (PTD)

Our PTDs take routine, non-emergency patients to and from treatment centres and private residences, a role which requires a professional and caring attitude.

Thank you for supporting recruitment into this vital service for our Hertfordshire communities.
