Help us champion mental health awareness

Visions and values pic

As we try to increase and improve our wellbeing service for everyone in the Trust, we are working with the charity Mind and other organisations to get the best support we can.

We are due to sign a pledge with Mind for its Time to Change Programme, which will set in action a series of activities to ensure we both rid ourselves of the stigma, and also raise awareness, of mental health issues throughout the Trust.

We would like to know of anyone who has any interest in supporting this pledge work, and the wellbeing offering generally.  We hope eventually to have some champions spread throughout the region, and a steering group to keep the pledge on track.

For now, we are asking if anyone who interested in this work is available on 17th May, 9.45am – 12pm at Great Notley, for a workshop that we are running with Essex Police and Essex Fire.  We will be looking at what we already do to support mental health in the workplace, what we can do better, and what we will actually do going forward.  We do only have a limited number of spaces right now – but there will be more to come!

It’s a great opportunity to have a say and work with me in building our wellbeing service across the Trust.

Please contact our Organisational Development Administrator, Victoria Harris, at victoria.harris2@eastamb.nhs.uk  in the first instance to express your availability and interest.
