Helping the service to become future fit

A big thanks has gone out to Essex staff for their contribution to a busy careers fair earlier this month.

The Skills East of England recruitment fair on 2nd and 3rd of March 2016 in Colchester provided an interactive environment for students, teachers, parents and other visitors to seek out and learn more about prospective employers of choice once young people have left education.

It attracted 1,394 visitors over the two days, and the committed and enthusiastic staff who offered visitors an opportunity to look inside an emergency ambulance and have hands on with various training tools included DLO Peter Bumphrey, Senior Paramedic Claire Owers, Ambulance Support Worker Aaron Crawford, Student Paramedic Shelly Matthews, Paramedic, Joshua Elias and Robert Carter from the HR Services team.

The Trust's Recruitment and Resourcing Manager Denise Stedman thanked the staff for their contribution, adding: "They presented as very professional and friendly individuals and were great ambassadors for the ambulance service."
