Helping us help you!

RRV with blue lights

We’re appealing for staff to get in contact with the communications team after attending incidents which could attract public attention.

Every day, we can get dozens of media and Twitter enquiries, and contact from stakeholders asking about all kinds of jobs, and we want to give them an accurate picture of what happened as soon as we’re able to.

Nearly every incident in a public place, or one at a private address which attracts a lot of resources, will elicit attention. The media team does its best to sift through jobs on CAD, but you can’t beat a heads-up first– and it means the work of EEAST is properly represented. We can only go by what is on CAD so please get in there first and tell us what happened if there’s more to it.

All staff need to do is use the pro-forma the media team sent around to your admin colleagues a while ago or email communications@eastamb.nhs.uk any time of the day, or phone the media desk on 01763 268772; if it’s out of hours, call 07500 121368. Also, if some of these incidents have positive patient outcomes and/or you would like to see a commendation arise from it for a colleague or member of public, then it’s a bonus!
