Hertfordshire careers expo event a huge success

Hatfield Expo Event

Staff and volunteers have been thanked for the efforts at a recent careers convention in Hatfield.

The event, hosted by East and North Hertfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group, saw more than 400 pupils aged from 14-18 years of age over the course of the day (Tuesday, 1st March) discover more about life in greens.

The pupils were treated to a tour of one of our ambulances of site, where they were also shown how to perform CPR and look at some of our equipment that is used.

Throughout the day our team were asked lots of engaging questions and were able to familiarise themselves with some of their Hertfordshire life savers.

Satinder Rupal, Recruitment Coordinator and Project Lead, said: “It was a hugely successful day, we saw lots of eager young people who showed a vested interest in working in the ambulance service. Hopefully we will see them working in EEAST in the not so distant future.”

He added: “I would like to thank all those who attended for their attentiveness and also to our staff and volunteers who took the time to help at this fantastic event.”
