Home Office launches free training on FGM

Blurred ambulance

The Home Office has launched an online training package for frontline professionals in identifying and helping girls at risk of female genital mutilation (FGM).

A recent study revealed that approximately 137,000 women in England and Wales are estimated to be living with the consequences of FGM.

The free training provides an overview of FGM and helps professionals support those who have been subjected to it. The training can be accessed by visiting the website www.fgmelearning.co.uk.
