Important changes to wellbeing support

We’re delighted to announce that from 1 January 2020 our entire occupational health and wellbeing service will change from using People Asset Management (PAM) to Kays Medical Occupational Health.

Kays Medical have been supplying the Occupational Health services for nearly 45 years and have significant experience providing OH services to a variety of organisations, including the Blue Light sector. To ensure a smooth transition, Kays will be based in our Melbourn offices for several weeks.

All existing services will continue as normal during the transition, with only one or two small changes to note. Please read the below to ensure you can continue to provide support to your staff and each other during this period.

The Wellbeing Team will:

  • Receive all referrals from 21 December 2019 until close of play 1 January 2020. 
  • Referrals need to be entered onto the Wellbeing Hub referral form (download below) and sent to These forms will be reviewed, recorded, and any urgent cases will be dealt with appropriately. 
  • Continue to use all services including PAM, EAP and Red Poppy as usual.

PAM will:

  • Continue to receive referrals until close of play 20 December 2019.  All referrals from 21 December 2019 until 1 January 2020 need to be directed to the Wellbeing team.
  • Continue to provide a service to all those people already in their system.  Anyone already receiving treatment, or due to start treatment in the next few weeks will continue to be looked after by PAM.
  • Continue to receive all new starter forms (our current online Fit4Jobs process) until 31 December 2019 and will then pass them to Kays to manage.  This may mean a short delay in new starters being offered an appointment if required and will be part of the handover process.

Kays Medical will:

  • Take over our entire occupational health and wellbeing service from 1 January 2020.
  • Ensure all new starter forms are processed as soon as possible once they have been received on 2 January 2020.
  • Ensure all new referrals are processed as soon as possible from 2 January 2020.

    Will continue to provide a service to the Trust until close of play 1 January 2020.  Any staff or managers needing immediate support or advice can phone any time, day or night, for support.
  • Red Poppy 07902 154 817
    The Red Poppy Helpline is in place until 30 December 2019.  Any member of staff, or manager, is welcome to phone for support during the hours of 12pm – 6 pm each day. Referrals to Red Poppy need to continue to be sent to the Wellbeing team using the referral form attached. Please note this line will not be open 25 or 26 December.
