Improve your health and wellbeing by supporting NHS campaign

Public Health England (PHE) has launched its ‘One You’ campaign, to help adults avoid future illnesses from everyday habits and behaviours.

Launched last Monday (7th March), ‘One You’ aims to encourage adults, especially those between the age of 40 -60, to improve their health by avoiding eating too much unhealthy food, drinking more alcohol than recommended, continuing to smoke and not being active enough. According to PHE, this is responsible for around 40% of all deaths in England.

Currently 15 million people in the UK are living with a long-term health condition, yet studies show living healthily in middle age can double your chances of being healthy when you are 70.

PHE is encouraging adults to start by taking a new online health quiz called ‘How are you?’ The quiz provides personalised recommendations based on your results and directs people to tools and advice to help them take action.
