VIDEO: Increase in flu cases reported

Have you seen reports of so-called ‘Australian flu’ in the media?

The latest flu data, which has been published by Public Health England, shows that there has been an increase in confirmed flu cases nationally.

The vaccine is the best defence we have against the spread of flu and it isn’t too late to get vaccinated and to protect yourself, your family and colleagues.

More than 2,200 staff have had the vaccination so far and more than 800 have opted out.

For every vaccination given, the Trust will send an equal number of tetanus vaccinations to third world countries through UNICEF.

People suffering with flu-like symptoms should catch coughs or sneezes in tissues and bin them immediately, wash their hands regularly with soap and warm water and frequently clean regularly used surfaces to stop the spread of flu.

If you don’t want a vaccination, your involvement still matters, so please remember to return your completed forms. If you have lost your form, a new one can be downloaded and printed off via East24.
