International Volunteer’s Day 2020

Today is International Volunteer’s Day, and a chance for us to shine a spotlight on all our amazing volunteers.

This year more than ever our staff have been going above and beyond to ensure that we can continue to provide a high level of care to our patients despite the ongoing global pandemic. Along with our over 4,000 staff, we are also supported on a daily basis by some 1,500 volunteers.

Our volunteers provide an incredibly important service, be that as a Community First Responder, or a Volunteer Car Driver, giving up their own time to help continue to be there for our patients. In a year when attending patients carries a higher risk than ever, our volunteers have continued to show incredible support as part of the EEAST family.

We would like to give our thanks to all our volunteers, for everything you have done and for everything you continue to do. Your dedication does not go unnoticed and we are incredibly grateful, and look forward to continuing working with you in the future.
