International Women's Day 2021 event details

This is your invitation to celebrate International Women's Day 2021, and this year we are going virtual! 

This International Women's Day, EEAST's All Women in EEAST (AWE) network are joining forces with representatives from Essex County Fire and Rescue Service and Essex Police to bring you a joint virtual event, which will be held on Monday 8th March via Microsoft Teams. 

International Women's Day is an opportunity to think about the progress made in relation to human rights and gender equality and this year the theme is ‘Choose to Challenge’. There are some fantastic speakers lined up to cover a number of interesting and useful topics, including the following:-

Gita Prasad, EEAST - Choose to Challenge “My Story”

Antarctic Fire Angels - Inspirational

AF Communications - Impact and Gravitas for Women

Dan Evison, ECFRS  - Wellbeing

Dawn Wood, Essex Police - Inspirational

To register, please book your ticket on EventbriteYou'll be sent a link to the Microsoft Teams meeting ahead of the event. (please use your trust email address as this is a closed event).

This year, we will be supporting Antarctic Fire Angels (AFA) and raising funds in association with Ordinary Extraordinary C.I.C. All donations will be split equally between The Fire Fighters Charity and The Harlequins Foundation To show our support, we will be organising a “Choose To Challenge Yourself” Sports Challenge hoping to cover 1900km, the distance set by AFA to ski coast-to-coast across Antarctica.
