Introduction to the Rostering Services Team

The Rostering Team is based within the IM&T department. The team consists of Caroline Jones, Vicky Lane, Jo Scott and Selina Lyons.

The role of the rostering services team is broadly split into 3 main functions:

  • Manage the trust’s rostering system by supporting new developments, software updates, rota loading, adding/removing staff and assigning staff access rights.
  • Provide day to day support and training to all our system users.
  • Supply management reports to help support staff management.

The rostering system used in the trust is Global Rostering System (GRS), and comprises of 3 products

1. GRS Main Client, available to approved administrators and managers, providing the tools needed to plan shifts and record periods of absence.

2. GRS Web portal, available to all staff, providing easy access to your information and essential self-service facilities such as:

  • Viewing shift and absence information
  • Reviewing and requesting Annual Leave and TOIL
  • Reviewing, updating and submitting timesheets online

3. GSR App, the trust has recently purchased licences for this App and we are currently in the process of testing. We do hope to have a rollout plan soon, so please keep an eye on NTK for more information. Its functionality is like GRSWeb but is designed to be viewed on a mobile device. The main difference is that you will not be able to access your timesheet, but you will be able to:

  • View shift and absence information
  • Review and request Annual Leave and TOIL
