IP&C Champion network launch

Infection graphic

Following keen interest shown, the Infection, Prevention and Control team will be launching an IP&C champion network.

This will be an opportunity for volunteers from each area to take an active role in the delivery of high IP&C compliance and standards in your area.

There will be a IP&C champion network webinar held on Tuesday 11th August at 1pm. The webinar will be an introduction to the IP&C team and to discuss key functions of tasks available and the assistance you can provide to promote the subject amongst your colleagues.

There will be follow up online sessions to ensure all volunteers have the knowledge and tools they require to be ambassadors for their teams monitoring and improvement. Regular meetings with our team will occur to enable feedback of challenges, concerns and also good practice found and sharing.

Whatever your role is in the Trust (does not have to be a clinical role), your more than welcome to become a member. Please raise your interest with Shaun Watkins and your local management to be added to the webinar session.

There is now an IP&C champion channel in the IPC Sector Business Unit Group team. This channel has a document that your AGM can add names to, of anyone that passes on their interest. Any names that are submitted will be added by Shaun andeveryone on the list will be sent an invite for the webinar.

Please contact Shaun Watkins with your interest and we will all work together to continue and uphold the highest level of safety for all staff and patients.
