Join College of Paramedics at two CPD events

Places are available on two continued personal development (CPD) days, taking place next month.

Lessons learnt from recent terror attacks - 7th September 1-7pm. Venue: Royal Society of Medicine W1G 0AE. Cost: College of Paramedics members: £15, non-members: £30

The event will look at the response of the emergency services to the London and Manchester terror attacks and lessons to be learned.

This specially convened meeting at the Royal Society of Medicine is being addressed by some of the doctors who were involved first hand in caring for many of the casualties, both in Manchester and in London. The meeting will end in a panel discussion, focusing on the lessons to be learned from these major incidents which can be applied if and when further attacks occur.

Key speakers include National Clinical Director for Trauma, Professor Chris Moran, London Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Mis Cressida Dick, and Chief Executive for London Ambulance Service, Mr. Garrett Emmerson.

Emergency Services Show 2017 - 20th - 21st September. Venue: NEC Birmingham. Cost: Free

The event, which is the UK’s only multi-agency show for clinicians to attend, will include trauma care training, product demonstrations, water rescue demonstrations on the Pendigo lake and a West Midlands Fire Service extrication will all be on show.

There will be free CPD accredited seminars, all available on a first-come first served basis on arrival at the theatres. These will cover hot topics and offer all emergency services staff a chance to get up to speed on the latest technology, experience and kit.
