Last chance to get your flu vaccination

With February fast approaching, time is running out to get yourself vaccinated against flu.

More than 2,300 of you have so far been vaccinated and Public Health England anticipate that the flu season will peak in the next week.

Almost 75 per cent of patient-facing staff have been vaccinated or returned forms opting out.

Earlier this winter we published the top five areas where staff have been vaccinated and returned their completed flu forms.

The latest figures are:

  • North Bedfordshire – 99.3 per cent
  • North Essex – 97.3 per cent
  • South West Essex – 97.2 per cent
  • North East Herts – 94.1 per cent
  • Waveney – 93.2 per cent

For every vaccination given, the Trust will send an equal number of tetanus vaccinations to third world countries through UNICEF.

If you don’t want a vaccination, your involvement still matters, so please remember to return your completed forms. If you have lost your form, you can download one on East24 here
