Lateral Flow Testing

If you are coming to the end of your phase two Lateral Flow Test (LFT) kit, please speak to your local lead who will be able to supply another one. 

Lateral Flow Tests are available to all staff at EEAST and the process is quick and easy – it should only take around 60 seconds. 

Covid-19 will not be eradicated in the foreseeable future so getting into a routine of regularly taking LFTs will not only help to reduce the transmission of the virus, it will also help the country to continue to open up and reduce restrictions. 

Remember, you can still contract Covid-19 after you have had your vaccination and even though the symptoms may be less, you could still pass the virus on to other people. LFTs can indicate whether you have the virus before symptoms appear. They also ensure that you isolate at the earliest date in order to help prevent the spread and protect everyone around you – your family, friends, colleagues, and patients.
