Latest volunteer recruits roll out in Essex

Essex has received another boost to its volunteer network with more than a dozen new members completing their training at the weekend (Sunday, 31st July).

In total, 16 new community first responders passed their training, and were credited by Essex Community Collaboration Manager Kevin Hudson for turning up in such large numbers. He said: “I’m delighted to see such a large group of willing volunteers come forward, they all worked extremely hard and will be a huge benefit to their communities. My thanks to them for their dedication and wish them the best of luck in the future.”

He added: “Six of the new recruits were already part of Essex Search and Rescue, a volunteer group who search for people in their time of need.”

The new life-savers completed their training at Chelmsford training school and will be based in various communities throughout the county, including Clacton, Basildon, Earls Colne, West Mersea, Great Barfield, Harlow, and Dunmow.
