Launch of new Kaido Challenge

Kaido Wellbeing Challenge

The Wellbeing team are about to launch their next Kaido Challenge: The Seven Natural Wonders.  This is an interactive challenge for everyone around the Trust to take part in, and work towards increasing their own health and wellbeing over the summer months.

More information will be released in the next couple of weeks, and can be gained from, but for now here are the experiences of Simon Chase, Anna Price and the safeguarding team, who have taken part previously.

Simon: "The safeguarding team embraced the last Kaido challenge, both individually and as a team, to help with supporting their completion of the health and wellbeing passport - which the whole team completed! The webviewer and platform from Kaido is really easy to use and I personally was able to sync it to my fitness tracker and download the APP, which made most of the points awarded to be automatic, but I know you can enter the points manually. It was really good to see how the points would be earned across exercise, wellbeing and diet.

"The help and resources available were really good and not forced on you to use, but were there if needed. The menu of healthy eating was really good for me, helping to plan my diet and I have definitely felt better from the process and having succeeded in my own goals. Also as a team, I can definitely see the benefits for all.

"It also was great evidence for me to complete the wellbeing passport and use my money to purchase some new and well earned running trainers to carry on my healthy routine. If you have a fitness tracker and don’t mind using APPs to record the data, the Kaido challenge is a good platform to help maintain or kick-start your health and wellbeing."

Anna: "As a team, we really enjoyed taking part and challenging ourselves. There was also some very healthy competition amongst us! Doing the job that we do and managing the case load, this challenge really helped us to focus on being the best version of ourselves, in turn meaning we were more productive at work. We scheduled in team building sessions, which counted and took part in a charity fun run, so also gave something back. During the winter months, it was lovely to work towards remaining active, when the want to be at home under a blanket was huge! We have all spent our passport money in very different ways.

I can’t speak for our whole team but I am really excited to take part in the next challenge!"
