Over the past few months, the GMs and I have been working on our Sector Strategy for Herts and West Essex. The streams that we are about to embark on are the following: 

  • Build robust and sustainable resourcing and planning and deployment mechanisms.
  • Develop people and culture
  • Address our challenged areas (geographies) with the help of our CFRs/Co-responders
  • Deliver an efficient service
  • Improve our ways of working
  • Fully utilise technology and tools
  • Work effectively with our partners

The purpose of this is to give equity of care for all of our patients; with the right care at the right time delivered sustainably. Further information regarding our strategy will be shared with all our Herts and West Essex Staff in the coming months.

The Strategy aims to set clear objectives to guide future work and to put in place an implementation mechanism to achieve those objectives, working in partnership with other parts of the Trust and our Stakeholders

We are moving forward with our Engagement & Culture Plan into phase 2. Our Change Agents will be instrumental, moving through a step-by step process to engage all the right people, identifying the biggest opportunities for improvement, and delivering measurable outcomes for the benefit of our Patients, our Staff and the Sector. There has never been a more important time to engage with and value our staff.
