Leading for the future - the next steps

Dragons Den and Get Real Logo

Following on from last year’s ‘Leading for the Future’ workshops we are now beginning the next phase of our leadership and organisational development work with Get Real Change.

The 25 workshops which took place during September – December 2019 involved over 300 members of EEAST staff who explored the leadership and culture of the organisation.

These sessions provided valuable insight and information which has now been collated into five key themes for further discussion:  Relationships, Conflict, Power, Decisions and Learning.

Those who attended have been invited to one of five new workshops to explore those themes further. If you have received an invite please email Heather Adams to confirm your attendance.

April brings the next opportunity to pitch ideas to Dragons Den. The first event took place in December 2019 where seven ideas were pitched to the Dragons (aka the Executive Team). The session was a great success and each team left with a named executive sponsor.

Building on this a further session has been arranged for 15th April and future sessions are in the pipeline. It is a fantastic opportunity to pitch your ideas for change to the Dragons to secure their support and sponsorship.

The session is open to all, however those who attended the sessions during September – December will be given priority to pitch the ideas that they generated in those workshops. If you would like to attend please contact Laura from Get Real Change.

Work is underway to finalise the programme for 2020/21 shaped by the views that were shared within the sessions, within the staff survey and within the wider engagement activities. Plans will be agreed with the Executive Team in March and further updates will be provided over the next couple of months.
