The Suffolk Child Death Review Team would like to invite you to their second ‘Learning from Children’s Deaths’ sessions.

This year, they are holding 4 sessions across the week. Each session will begin with the speakers listed below, followed by a Q&A.

Monday 11th October

Losing a Child to Suicide

  1. Fiona Tuomey – after losing her daughter to suicide Fiona set up HUGG, a suicide bereavement charity.
  2. Bereaved By Suicide Service (BBS) - Catherine Williams will be introducing the new Bereaved By Suicide (BBS) service

 

 

Wednesday 13th

  1. Nicky Brown - Nicky will be joining us to talk about her son, Tom, and sharing her experiences with us.
  2. Luke Clements, Professor of Law and Social Justice – talking about his research, Institutionalising parent carer blame

 

Thursday 14th October

Neonatal Deaths

  1. Healthcare Safety Investigation Branch (HSIB), Elaine Hide - Elaine is speaking about HSIB investigations and neonatal deaths

Talking about the Death of Child
