Let's talk about mental health

Time to Talk Day 2020

Mental health problems affect one in four of us, yet too many people are made to feel isolated, ashamed and worthless because of this.

Next Thursday 6 February is Time to Talk Day – a day when everyone is encouraged to have a conversation about mental health – to talk, to listen, to change lives.

If you need to take this time to talk, Debra Winterson (07715 074010) and Dean Stuart (07712 418664), will be at the end of the phone for a completely confidential conversation between 9 am and 6 pm on Thursday 6 February.

At EEAST, we know that it benefits all of us to talk about mental health. We know talking about mental health is not always easy. But starting a conversation doesn’t have to be awkward and being there for someone can make a huge difference.

Time to Change is England’s biggest programme to challenge mental health stigma and discrimination and is run by the charities Mind and Rethink Mental Illness.

We want everyone who works here to feel they can be open about their mental health. If you need any questions contact Debra Winterson or if you need support please contact Kays Medical Employee Assistance Program on 0808 196 2374
