Learning from Incidents in 2020

LFI events

Learning from Incident events planned across the region for 2020.

Further dates and details have been added to the Learning from Incidents events scheduled for this year.

Starting in Suffolk, the sessions aim to create a forum where people can come and openly discuss cases, learn from them and introduce that learning into their clinical practice.

The Trust regularly reviews cases in a variety of ways and has a robust serious incident procedure from which learning is always taken.

Jordan Nicholls, Patient Safety Integration Lead, said: “These sessions are about building on our culture of learning, and helping everyone learn from our experiences. Healthcare is a very high risk organisation, and it’s vital we look at what we’re doing and share what we know with everyone. These aren’t about blaming people, we all make mistakes. They’re about working together to learn from other peoples experiences and keeping our patients safe.”
