Local BAME forum

Ambulance side shot

BAME staff are being asked to please take part in our cultural change programme to better support BAME staff in our pilot area.

If you identify yourself as part of the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic community and work within PTS, AOC or A&E in the areas of Bedfordshire and Luton (for AOC and A&E) or Beds, Herts and West Essex (for PTS) then you are in the pilot area for our exciting BAME staff support programme and we would very much like you to join us on Wednesday 14th October 0930-1130 for our first local forum.

We would like as many BAME staff as possible, from this pilot area to join us.  We will bring you together with leads from the Trust BME group and together work out the priorities for you, so that we can start to make positive changes.  This is a key meeting so we have chosen a time which might have less operational impact on our patients and colleagues, but this is also a priority.

If you would like to attend and don’t already have a calendar invite, please email me at simon.king@eastamb.nhs.uk.  You will need to join by Microsoft Teams so, if you’re not familiar with that, please speak to one of your managers or a colleague who can help you.  You can join from home – you’ll need to download the App, but it’s free!  If you’re due to be at work, please speak to your manager to arrange time for you to join.

Looking forward to seeing you then.

Simon King - Head of Operations for A&E in Beds & Luton and for PTS in Beds, Herts & West Essex.
