Lord Lieutenant's thanks to EEAST staff and volunteers

The Lord Lieutenant of Bedfordshire has sent a message of thanks and appreciation to our staff and volunteers for their tremendous support during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Helen Nellis has written to Chief Executive Dorothy Hosein to share her gratitude, and enclosed a certificate of appreciation.

Her letter said: “The High Sheriff of Bedfordshire and I, as HM the Queen’s representative in Bedfordshire, have been so impressed in many ways in which the people of our county have responded and reached out to their neighbours during their time of need.

“We therefore wanted to show our appreciation by sending a certificate which is aimed at everyone in your organisation who has played such a vital and much-valued role.

“We would be most grateful if you could give your staff and volunteers the opportunity to see the certificate so that they know just how much their contribution is valued.”

The certificate will be displayed at Trust HQ in Melbourn.
