Duraweld face visor recall

OPS UPDATE

Duraweld Face Visors (EPVS0143,) which were sent to organisations between 16th and 24th February 2021, may contain latex in the product’s headband in items manufactured and dated up to 13 July 2020.

Whilst these visors are safe to use for people who do not have a latex allergy, there has been some correspondence relating to the quality of the headband and the Department of Health and Social Care has taken the decision to immediately lock and quarantine this item with a view to collecting it from those sites affected. Please be assured that there are sufficient stocks of alternative visors.

We would ask that you check your stocks and immediately quarantine any of this product. 

Action Required

  • Identify if you have any stocks of the affected product codes.
  • Quarantine the product and contact us by emailing productqueries@ppeenquiries.com quoting reference Visor - Duraweld and confirming the volume of product held in order to facilitate collection.
  • If the product has been distributed via mutual aid, please inform receiving organisations of this notice and advise them to contact the DHSC Product Enquiries Team as above.
