May is trauma month

Throughout May there will be a clinical focus on trauma on Need to Know and gathering of information to share with the Trauma Network – and we want to know what you would like to read and see during the month.

The clinical team are preparing a range of materials, including articles and video, on the trauma triage tool (TTT), our response to children and the use of tranexamic acid.

Consultant Paramedic Marcus Bailey said: “We are putting together some really good pieces to publish over the month but would like to hear if there is anything specific we should cover to aid your learning in this area. We are also going to be asking for you to contribute to recording the use of the new trauma equipment, TXA and also the TTT especially -ve patients.”
