Mental health crisis care agreement signed in Bedfordshire

Mental health concordat signing Bedfordshire

Trust staff joined colleagues from police, fire, local authorities, drug and alcohol support services from across Bedfordshire and Luton to sign the mental health crisis care concordat on Wednesday (3rd December).

The concordat aims to improve outcomes for people experiencing a mental health crisis and to provide effective emergency response systems when a crisis does occur.

The special event at the Rufus Centre, Flitwick, was attended by Simon King, South Bedfordshire Senior Locality Manager, who said: “Here at the ambulance service we understand just how important mental health is, and work hard to provide the best possible care for our patients that suffer from mental health issues.

“We were honoured to sign the concordat and look forward to working with our partner agencies to improve the care and support for those with mental health issues across Bedfordshire and Luton.”
