Message to staff from Bedford HOSC

Staff with patient in ambulance

On Tuesday evening, Locality Director Dave Fountain attended Bedford borough health overview scrutiny committee (HOSC), on behalf of the Trust. Such committees are made up of local councillors who hold NHS organisations to account for the service they deliver locally.

Dave said: “I updated committee members on the good progress we have made, especially in terms of the recruitment of student paramedics, new ambulances that have been brought in, response to patients and staff welfare and support. The committee recognised that it has been a really difficult year for the Trust and staff. They were impressed with the improvements we have made and formally recorded their thanks to all of the staff, managers and members of the EEAST for their dedication, commitment and professionalism during the past year.”

The committee wanted to share this message to all of our staff: “Bedford HOSC formally thank staff, managers and the Board for the dramatic improvements made to the service over the last 12 months”.
