‘More than 4,000 jobs attended’, hear CFRs at engagement day

Our community first responders (CFRs) descended on an engagement day on Sunday (24th July) to talk all things 999.

The Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire volunteers came together at the Bressingham Steam Museum, and were delighted to hear that CFRs in their counties had attended more than 4,100 emergencies in the first quarter of this year, and provided more than 53,000 hours of cover.

Chief Executive Robert Morton said: “Our community first responders are an incredible group of people who help us to achieve the absolute best for our patients. The hours that they give up, in their own time, to support what we do is extraordinary – thank you to you all.”

Jon Needle, Suffolk and south Cambridgeshire Community Collaboration Manager, said: “The engagement day was well attended by CFRs and as well as being briefed on the activity of the groups for the first quarter of the financial year they entered into group discussions on what they would like to see for the future of CFRs in line with the Trust’s vision.

“All CFRs were then able to spend the rest of the day at Bressingham enjoying the lovely weather and the attractions on site.”
